Hi there! My name is Johnny Trevino. Thank you for joining me today on my blog page, It Is Written. I hope that you enjoy what I have penned down throughout my published work.

Please know this though, that my heart's desire is not for me to receive credit for the words that are written (or typed) here. I only want to give God all the glory for allowing me to be filled and inspired through the Holy Spirit to bring these words to you all.

Before going into any writing, message, or teaching, I always want to share with how the format will be with each of these published teachings. I'm always going to shoot to give God’s message of Hope by always doing the following:

SET THE TABLE: Before we go into the verse(s) of scripture, I will always try to give you a quick synopsis of what just happened or is happening at that moment to get us to the passage of scripture that we’re about to study. When we read God’s Word, we should always make it a practice to read before and after the verse of scripture that we’re about to study to see what took place either before or after to fully comprehend ALL of God’s Word and not just one verse.

LET'S TASTE - APPETIZER: After setting the table, we will then “bring out the food”, God’s Word, and lay it on the table. The presentation of a table ready for dining is great but not worth anything without the food presenting itself on our spiritual plates. So we will read the verse(s) of scripture to be ready to eat. Isn’t it ironic that we always bless and pray over our food before eating. Same idea here. Let us “bring the food,” God’s Word, and bless and pray over it before we eat of it.

LET’S EAT - ENTREE: After the table has been set, and the food has been brought out, there is nothing left but to…EAT! So as we intake the food that God has provided, His Word, we have to always remember that this spiritual food is something that we should take our time and slowly enjoy the fullness of the application that God is trying to teach us. Remember some of the rules that our parents or parental figures said to us? Don’t chew with your mouth open. Don’t talk with your mouth open. Don’t inhale your food, take your time. Elbows off the table.

So once again, let me welcome you with open arms and pray that God speaks to you through the writings of this blog. Remember that all artists that bring forth to us a beautiful painting, a wonderful song, or a magnificent structure...were all inspired by something greater than themselves. They were all just jars of clay ready and willing to be used. Take care.
